NAVY DAY
Saturday, March 19th
Navy Day, hosted with Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport, offers a full schedule of fun and educational opportunities for the public to experience the Navy’s role in environmental preservation, marine mammal protection, and underwater research, as well as the Museum’s extensive historical collection.
Explore whale ecology, learn from NUWC scientists, and marvel at massive whale skeletons. Board the world’s largest ship model, go on a scavenger hunt, climb inside a life-sized inflatable whale, and more!
Admission to the Museum on Navy Day is free for all valid Department of Defense identification card holders, veterans, and their families.

The waters off the coast of Massachusetts are home to many species of whale, dolphin, and porpoise. This compelling footage by Whale and Dolphin Conservation brings viewers close to these animals as they breach, slap flippers, and display a wide variety of other behaviors.
