ABOUT THE MUSICIANS
The Spindle Rock River Rats band formed organically in 1999 when a group of Westport, Massachusetts musicians played at the wedding of Polly Gardner's daughter. Polly is one of the musicians in the band. They had such a good time playing together, they decided to keep playing. Over the years, the band has performed at numerous private parties, celebrations, weddings, yacht club events and for many nonprofit organizations. Their repertoire is a great blend of vocals and instrumentals, and includes bluegrass, gospel, fiddle tunes, sea shanties, folk and blues.
Musicians include “Den Mother” Polly Gardner (upright bass), Woody Underwood (fiddle & guitar), Borden Snow (banjo & guitar), Brad Jenkins (banjo), Dock Murdock (dobro), Hope Swift (mandolin & guitar), Annamoon VanErp (fiddle), and Juergen Hallemeier (accordion).
