Tutor-led Sessions are at 5:45pm & 6:45pm

Sip, stroll, and sketch at the New Bedford Whaling Museum during our next First Friday, on September 6. You may opt to stroll and sketch on your own, or join the tutor-led art sessions – with artist Mason Terra – at 5:45pm or 6:45pm. Bring your own sketchpad and pencil, or ask for them at the front desk when arrive (available while supplies last). You are encouraged to sketch something tactile inspired the Wider World and Scrimshaw exhibitions, or other collections, or simply let your imagination run wild.

Our after-hours First Fridays events are tailor-made for grownups (21+ event), with cash bar service, and lite bites. The entire museum remains open from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Enjoy a fun date night or night out with friends amongst fine art collections, one-of-a-kind artifacts, and impress them aboard the world's largest ship model.

This program is presented in conjunction with "Stories Lead Us Home": Short Films from the Pacific to the Arctic, happening in the Cook Memorial Theater. Your ticket is valid for either program.
