Join award-winning author, José J. Cabral, as he discusses his recent publication, Acushnet Avenue (Pelos Caminhos de Chiquinho), as he takes us through an engaging presentation of the protagonist’s footsteps. Learn about Cabo Verde and the Cabo Verdean American odyssey, not only surviving but thriving since the whaling industry, as well as maintaining and promoting the relationship between the United States and Cabo Verde.
Born in São Nicolau, José J. Cabral is an award-winning author with a Bachelor in Business Administration-Brasil. He is currently in a Master Program in Museology and Patrimony at the Universidade dos Açores and serves as President of the Board of Directors of Escola do Mar, in Mindelo, São Vicente.
