Calling all families - Come and join fellow explorers as we tour the icy winter wonderland of the Arctic this February School Vacation at the New Bedford Whaling Museum! Experience the adventures of an unlikely pair, a polar bear cub named Nanu and a young walrus named Seela, as they grow up in their frozen homeland. This showing of Arctic Tale highlights the everyday lives of these creatures as well as the challenges they face due to climate change. Afterwards, explore your creativity as we craft a polar bear, inspired by New Bedford Whaling Museum’s latest exhibition, Polar Bear (Ursus Maritimus) and the Arctic Imaginary. See the exhibit and learn about polar bears, their life in the Arctic, and why they have been categorized as vulnerable. All day admission to the museum is included with the purchase of a ticket. Age recommendation is 7+ for Arctic Tale. $18 non-member tickets; $15 member tickets
