Whether its your annual meeting, customer appreciation, thanking your clients and customers, or building your staff’s teamwork through a three day retreat or a board meeting, there is no better venue than the New Bedford Whaling Museum. New Bedford is the 19th century whaling capital of the world. The century old New Bedford Whaling Museum houses the world’s largest collection of whaling artifacts and the city’s history, located within the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. Nestled in the middle of 18th and 19th century homes and shops, along cobblestone streets and a thriving seaport, the New Bedford Whaling Museum promises your business guests a unique experience.

The Museum offers numerous options to host business meetings.

From a high level board meeting to post meeting cocktail party, consider the San Francisco Room/Davis Observation Deck high above the museum offering a panoramic view of Buzzards Bay and New Bedford Harbor while providing privacy away from the bustle of the city. The San Francisco Room offers portable video monitoring, overhead projector, video conferencing, slide projector with an adjoining outdoor terrace. For an interactive meeting the Resource Center, located on the lower level of the museum, offers your guests the most modern facility equipped with 30 laptops and wireless internet access. For a more formal setting, the Library Board Room, located in the exclusive Kendall Library, set in the center of downtown New Bedford adjacent to City and Government buildings.

For a larger gathering, consider the New Bedford Whaling Museum’s Theater or Jacobs Family Gallery. The Museum Theater offers state of the art audio visual equipment including: computer projection with a dedicated line, power point accessible, video projection, video conferencing, etc. Located on the ground level, the theater offers an accessible meeting area prior to having a reception in the Jacobs Family Gallery.
