Dutch Whaling in the Golden Age

Exhibition Dates: Closed June 2012

The material rewards of 17th- and 18th-century Dutch whaling on the Greenland and Davis Strait grounds were reflected in this exhibition. Among the highlights: Old Master paintings and prints, sumptuous decorative arts, exquisite navigation instruments and rare natural history specimens.
